CONTRACTOR QUICK CHECK ยท UNITED STATES
What remains after the job costs you entered?
A quoted amount alone does not show what remains after materials, labor, equipment, permits, and other entered costs.
A worked job-margin example
If revenue is $1,000 and the entered costs are $200 materials, $300 labor, and $50 other costs, the entered-cost remainder is $450. That is 45% of revenue.
This is a margin-style remainder percentage, not markup. Markup compares the remainder with entered costs; this tool does not calculate markup, net income, accounting profit, tax, or costs you did not enter.
Run a private browser calculation
Enter revenue and the costs you choose to include. The tool shows the entered-cost remainder and its percentage of revenue. Your values stay in your browser.
Important boundary
Missing costs count as zero. The result is not net income, true profit, markup, accounting, tax, pricing, estimating, or business advice.
